I dont think its a secret that the holidays are an indulgent time. Lots of treats and meals you only get once or a few times throughout the year. But sometimes it shows and no one likes to feel puffy and bloated. So while you can hide under sweaters, you cant quite hide that facial bloat so I have a few handy little tricks for you to get that bloat down in an hours time.

V Line (aka Double Chin) Masks

These are a godsend. Truly. Strap this mask on across your jawline (on your face and down across under your chin) and leave it on for at least an hour to watch the extra puffiness and bloating in your face go away. I usually do this while I am lazing around in the morning drinking coffee which is extra easy to do with work from home now! My favorite brand is Lauer but these ones also work really well to de-puff your jawline! I usually buy a few at a time since the Lauer ones sell out quickly!

Clarins V Facial Intensive Wrap

This mask works wonders for a face full of sodium and margaritas – or am I the only one that occasionally overindulges in the pre-meal chips and salsa? I usually apply this just over my cheeks and wear it simultaneously with the chin masks. I dont put it under the chin mask to save product (I didnt think it made that much of a difference when I tried it with both layered). This helps to remvoe any bloating or puffiness from the cheeks. Again, leave it on for over an hour if you can for the best effect. This sells out often but you can buy it directly from Clarins or Sephora.

Ice Roller

There are all kinds of rollers & methods that you can get to help depuff your face – jade, gua sha, etc. For a morning when you dont have the time for a full hour long mask routine (tbh I usually only do that for large events or when lots of pics will be taken or post major indulgence or vacation) the ice roller is that fastest and most effective way to debloat quickly. I was honestly surprised at how well it worked the first time I used it but honestly it feels amazing, especially for a headache (or hangover).

How I get my everyday waves

99% of the time you see me I will have this basic wave in my hair. It is easier to maintain between washes and helps me look more put together. This is one of the most frequent questions I get asked nd so it was a no-brainer to be my first tutorial.

The video is on my IGTV feed but I wanted to link all of the products for you below!

Products I use to achieve my perfect daily beach waves

I keep my products very basic. I personally hate a ton of product on my hair. I feel like it makes the texture weird and then looks dirtier sooner, which we do not want. I use minimal products, which I have all linked here!

T3 Featherweight Hair Dryer

I have had this hairdryer for 2 years and I love it. Its is my favorite of all the hairdryers I have ever had. T3 has made newer models but I havent upgraded quite yet!

$79 at QVC

T3 Singlepass Straightener

Such a great straightener – have had for years and I love it! It does have a tendency to get hot so be careful. I use this to curl my hair – I rarely use a curling iron or wand.

$99 at Nordstrom Rack

Keratase Nutritive Blowdry Primer for Dry Hair

I just started using this about a month ago and I love it! Make my hair so soft and protects it from any heat damage. I use about a dime to quarter size and pull it through my hair. I go back through and use a wide tooth comb to make sure it is all over my hair – root to end.

$37 at Sephora

Kenra Platinum Dry Texture Spray

This dry texture spray smells SO good and gives you great results without a ton of product. Like i said, I do not like a lot of product in my hair and this is just enough for me! A few puffs at my roots and through the ends gives me the look I want!

2 for $32 on Amazon

A few years ago I was working at a make up store in Charleston where I went to college. The store focused on small brands with clean ingredients. During that time, I did a lot of looking into clean make up ingredients & how they were affecting my body.

As a person who has always had struggles with her hormones, I was blown away by the number of products carrying harmful chemical components that could affect my body. Since then, I have tried to find the best clean beauty products that still give me gorgeous looks and coverage but eliminate some of the crap that I don’t want in my system.

Some of these products can be found in my 5-minute face post or you can buy them at the Sephora sale!

So **disclaimer** – I am not a scientist. I am not a doctor. I am not an expert. I am also not perfect. Not all of the products I use are perfectly clean. However, I do try to make a cognoscente effort to eliminate most parabens & xeno-estrogen carrying products from my routine. Please do you own research and use what works for you. But these are some of my favorite brands and my favorite products!

Favorite Clean Beauty Brands

RMS Beauty

RMS is a really popular clean beauty brand. Founder Rose-Marie Swift is focused on high quality ingredients without sacrificing that gorgeous glowy finish. Their little jars of clean beauty & skincare goodness can be found at Sephora, JCrew, Anthropologie, and other beauty outlets.

  • Lip2Cheek is exactly what it sounds like! A creamy lip & cheek product to help give you a monochromatic beauty look. I personally like the shade “Demure”!
  • Living Luminizer is probably the product they are most known for. This highlighter gives you a gorgeous glow that you can just tap on your cheekbones. They now have 6 different shades of their luminizer for you to choose from!

Susan Posnick

This great little beauty brand is great example of clean beauty that doesnt hold back on powerful pigment and flawless finish.

  • ColorFlo Loose Powder: I personally think that they have the best full coverage powder out there that makes your skin look flawless. I get compliments on my skin every single time I use this powder. I use shade M3.
  • Colorcoated Mascara: If you are looking for a mascara that doubles as a lash serum to care for those lashes – this is it! We love a multi-tasking product! This is a great lengthening mascara and will also help your lashes grow longer while you wear it.

Tarte

While not every product is perfectly clean, Tarte is a great product & price point with a lot of clean options for you! It can be found in at both Sephora and Ulta but they also run great sales through their own site as well!

  • Surfer Curl Mascara: This is my favorite mascara at the moment! It gives great length and volume but has clean ingredients for you!

Farmacy Beauty

After a great facial this fall my facialist said she thought my face wash was drying me out and that I should go for a creamy cleanser. My skin had been so dry and nothing I tried would fix it! I went online and started doing some research on clean skincare options and came across this brand. I found my new cleanser – Green Clean – and fell in love!

  • Green Clean: This is the BEST cleanser and makeup remover combo. I personally double cleanse with this in the evenings to take off the day. It smells SO GOOD too – almost like a key lime pie but not overwhelming or too sweet. I have bought this time and time again and I dont see it leaving my routine any time soon!

First Aid Beauty

If you are looking for a great intro to clean skincare at a good price point FAB is your brand. They have really good and approachable products for those of you looking to stick with something more familiar.

  • Facial Radiance Pads: These are great for when you feel like you need to freshen up that top layer of skin. The glycolic acid will exfoliate the top layer of skin and brighten the tone overall. I love to use these 2-3x a week!
  • Ultra Repair Cream: This is an awesome super moisturizing cream that can be used on face and body! If you are looking for a clean moisturizer that really goes deep – this is it!

While I know all of us would love to wake up like a Hadid sister feeling fresh and photo ready that is just not the case. For our first day of shoots for the blog I pulled out the big guns to make sure my skin and face looked photo-ready! Dont worry – it only took 5 masks to get us there but the point is WE GOT THERE TOGETHER. I mean look at that face!!

Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask:

Use it the day before to exfoliate off any dead skin. Follow with a deep moisturizing cream (like my favorite moisturizer from Amazon!) or another mask from the Peter Thomas Roth mask set.

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask:

from the same PTR mask set, the Rose Stem Cell Mask is super plumping and revitalizing to the top layer of your skin. Your face will have a serious glow to is afterwards. You look like you’ve gotten a facial after you have used it. Use this after your exfoliation step for deeper skin penetration. I also used it on my forehead the day of the shoot!

Lauer V Line Lifting Mask:

MAJOR KEY ALERT **DJ Khaled Voice**. If you are someone who is self-conscious of themselves in profile or maybe you just had too many tacos & wine last night (okay, guiltyyyyyyyyy) this is the perfect thing to sharpen up that jawline and slim your face! Per the great Kathleen Jennings of @KathleenJenningsBeauty, leave this on for over an hour. I put this on, watched the Disney Family Sing Along, did a Peloton class and then took it off to shower. While you look like a bandaged up real housewife after a facelift the results are WORTH IT!

Clarins V-Facial Intensive Wrap:

I use this in tandem with the V Line Lifting Mask. I put this on my cheeks and leave it on for over an our. This will give you your cheekbones back after a night of sodium and alcohol.

BrightJungle Under Eye Collagen Patch:

My favorite cheap under eye masks. I order 5-6 times a year and use them when I feel like my undereyes need a little oomph.
